Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After I got the driver side head light replaced the low beam light became day running light
instead of the high beam light. Can you pls tell me how to correct this faulty connection.

the switch is on the turn signal stalk...when you pull it does it not engage the hi-beams and toss a little blue light up on your console? if the stalk is not issuing a definite click and the relay does not snap on, would suspect a bad relay~

cannot find a high beam relay, only a fog light relay...the switch is bad, or the beams themselves have seen 3000 hours and are burned~

I'm a little confused as to WHY you would want the HIGH beams as your DRL's. This will just serve to blind drivers who are driving toward you (and piss them off!). I despise when someone uses their high beams when it isn't necessary....especially with the really bright newer HID lights. Do this ALL of the time and you just MIGHT encourage some road rage that you didn't bargain for...Just saying..

...and your 'just saying' is right ON Racer. Why in the wide wide world of sports do you want high beams...it's NOT FAULTY is supposed to be even lower than low beam night headlights

Hey some of us live where there ARE NO streetlights....a distance of 300 yds. is not sufficient~....I get to bitc& too~

Daytime running lights are not meant to illuminate the road, but to make it easier for other drivers to see you, which is a proven benefit. Some provinces in Canada have required headlights 24/7 since the 80s. That's why cars have been equipped with them since the mid 2000s. They do not even need to be as bright as a standard low beam to accomplish their intended purpose, let alone high beams!!!
