Sometimes while bleeding clutches you will have to pull pedal back up a few times with hand till you get all the air out.

If you towed or put lots of strain on the clutch and smelled something burning then the pressure plate could have stuck. Sometimes ...if your very lucky and can get the trans into neutral ... it may pop back out once you get the engine hot and keep working the clutch..... if not then it may have to be disassembled Or ..it very well may be the hydraulic unit ... but my experience has shown it's the pressure plate. Only you would know if you smelled burning

Sometimes it takes awhile to bead the system of the clutch mc. You need to gravity feed it as much as possible then keep applying pressure on the clutch pedal when bleeding. When ever you replace the clutch good idea to replace the mc at the same time so there is no conflict on the clutch.
