What other Mazda engines can fit in?

I have a 1999 Miata 1.8. I’m swapping out
the engine but it’s hard to find that exact
engine in salvage yards. My question is
what other engines are capable of working
in my car? Like can I put in an engine from
a 1994 Miata? Let me know .
