You will need to have this diagnosed by a mechanic. To simply say that there is a short in your headlight system isn't enough to even get a good answer to your statement. Electrical shorts are typically difficult to find but a mechanic should have the tools to track it down. Good luck.

here's a helpful answer....under the battery tray (you must remove it) there is a wiring harness that contains the headlight circuitry they rub through the insulation and corrode or short to ground or combination of both, usually can be fixed in 1.5 or less and that is what a tech should charge you to fix the problem.

my 2001 had headlite problems found the wiring in the front of car under that plastic cover where the radiator is was corroded and broke they are flimsy wires at best . i fixed it myself all i did was take the black tape off and the broken wire came with the tape a foot of wire and liquid black tape to repair was all i needed . my dealer says they are weak in this area .very easy fix.
