what is a shinsen convertible?

Dear neil-- The Shinsen was a limited-production 2003 Miata. Only 1,500 were produced that year. The Shinsen, which in Japanese means "new and fresh" was basically a trim package which featured a titanium gray exterior, blue cloth top and seats, a convenience package (tweeters, power door locks, keyless entry, and cruise control), and aluminum exterior trim. Do you have one? Let me know about it. Good luck from Bovan.
I have the Splash Green Miata and is one of 738 of that color produced. I am selling mine, due to knee surgery. https://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/d/2003-mazda- miata/6611419638.html

Yes love mine! I’ve had it about 8 years now!
I have a silver '04 Miata with blue door inserts, blue seats, cruise control, auto door locks, etc. The top has been replaced, but it seems to have all the Shinsen earmarks. Is it a Shinsen? Can I tell from the VIN? Thanks!
