91" Mazda mx-6 LX wont start

My vehicles woouldn't hold the charge... I changed the alternator n the battery ,after doing so the
idle kept going hi n low ,so I adjusted the thorttle cable  down a bit , I took it for test drive n
chased my timing belt to break as well as my timing belt .. I change the the belts retimed it or
adjusted  , there's gas ,spark n air flow , but still won't hold the charge , can someone tell me
what went wrong or what I did wrong ????

What size engine is this? If this is an interference engine you may have bent some valves when the timing belt broke. Check engine compression to see. Let me know what size engine this is so I can check.

The 2.2L engine is a interference engine. Check the engine compression, probably find it to bad in some cylinders.
