erratic idling

we have changed the idle air control valve with a used one, replaced the alternator, cap & rotor, but it still has this erratic idling, any ideas?

what do you mean erratic? is the car vibrating at normal idle speed? a number of things can cause a harsh idle, it good be bad fuel, bad injectors, bad engine mounts.. check those, don't replace anything before you're sure what's causing it.

yeah. it is probably your vacuum lines; make sure they are all going some place; you might have a reverse vacuum on a line; does it start up fine and once it warms up it idles from about 1200 rpm down to almost stalling out?
