Spare tire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Looking for a donut and/or used rim/tire since we bought this as used and w/o apare. Doesn't seem to come across any resale on the web. Don't want to spent much (eg: new) ... any suggestions?

Hi there, yes, still interested. Can you send pic and do you still have the necessary hardware to 'hang' in the trunk? I'm in Colorado, so need to check cost to ship as well. My email address: courtroom74@hotmail.com

Great, saw the pic and replied your email. My kid will take the RX8 back to UCCS this fall. He's here in Texas till mid August.
rx8s dont come with spares for future reference because it throws off the perfect 50-50 weight distribution I would suggest not getting one but I am a pure performance person so it is up to you but a can of fix a flat would do the job if you want to get something that would be an alternative to a pricey donut or rim.
I do not think the reason for not including a spare and consider it a "accessory" is a 50/50 weight distribution. A passenger, or a piece of luggage would then render the car unsafe. The reason this happens ( no spare) is that the lawmakers allow it to happen, allowing car companies to save money at the expense of public safety. A flat tire and no spare could mean death in certain situations.
