Swapping Wheels

Asked by Ambaade Aug 16, 2014 at 06:28 PM about the 2008 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a 2008 Rx-8, I have a 2005 Rx-8. I would like to put my tires and rims from
the 2005 on the 2008 which should be no problem since they are identical cars. The tire
place said the tire pressure sensors in each tire have to stay with the car. I searched the
part online and it shows me the same part fits 2004-2010. I called mazda and they
actually said they werent sure. Is this for real?

I now the rims are a perfect fit but you will need to swap the sensors or get aftermarket ones if you even want to bother with it.
