Dear mr24u-- The 1993 Toyota MR2 Turbo T-Bar couple, featuring the 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine, produced 200 horsepower. Don't drive too fast, though. That cop on the corner can still outrun you. Good luck from Bovan.
hi wel i always thought that the imported 16vl 2ltr was around 160/170 and the turbos rev1 was 220 and rev 4s wer 240 i have a rev 2 and before i did all the mods i did a rollin road and it was 215bhp not bad for a 13yar old car now it is runnin at about 270 after my mods any questions love to help thanks
The UK spec MR2 GT-i16 was produced with 158bhp before 1994 the power was increased to 174bhp after 1994, but that said the 158bhp version is actually quicker from 0-60mph and 2 mph faster due to the added controls for emmisions e.g. uprated catalyst, the main difference on the post 94 models are that the engine was moved forward to balance the weight a bit better and the suspension was uprated too. hope this answers your question, feel free to comment on my car. Regards, Ben
hello i have the turbo version rev 2 it is about 220 bhp thanks
hello mike, yeah mine was 221 bhp last time it was on the rollers, but im hoping it will be putting out about 390 ish bhp once back on the road, iv been having a fiddle :)
stock horsepower for a 2.0L 16 valve motor is about 197-205hp
Don't know about the NA one, but the 2.0 turbo is the quite famous 3S-GTE, stock horsepower around 200, but the internals are quite stout and can handle up too 350 whp. And you will be able to out run cops in their 230 hp crown vics
