98 chevy malibu turns over but doesn't start

So my 98 malibu with a 3.1 liter will turn over and I
have to hold the pedal to the floor to get it to
start...I did a pressure test on the fuel pump and
it's turned out it was fine so I checked to see if I
was getting spark and I ended up putting in plugs
and wires but still doing the same thing so if you
could help with the situation I'd appreciate it
