98 Malibu won't start

Asked by Brittney Jul 01, 2018 at 10:28 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was out of gas and sat for a week. Tried starting
the car and it won't start. It will turn over start for like
2 seconds and then shut off, put gas in, replaced fuel
filter, tapped on fuel tank, checked fuses, fuel pump
is working, primes gas like it should, but won't start.
Any thing else I could try?

May still have air in the injectors or fuel rail. Google to see if there's a bleeding procedure?
