2006 Nissan Murano stopped accelerating & Reversing!

Driving home from work in slow traffic,
suddenly when accelerating Murano starts
shaking as though going over Rumble strips
on the side of the highway (bit like if they
were huge rumble strips).  I was still getting
acceleration at this point, slowly rolled in
traffic & accelerated again same with
shaking, this happened 2 or 3 more times,
exited interstate once here had to “roll” to
side of lane as acceleration no longer
worked.  Tried to reverse, same, nothing.
Engine Revs when put in arrive & reverse, just
no movement. No warning lights. Checked
transmission fluid, levels normal. All other
functions of vehicle working (lights, blinker,
radio, etc.). Towed to shop, reaching out here
in anticipation of opinions of what could be
wrong...
