2006 Nissan Sentra throttle position sensor

It is in fact a part of the throttle body also when you change it you should have a mechanic replace your crank sensor which from the factory has a plastic housing with one with a metal housing. Also have the mechanic apply lock tight to the tiny screws on the butterfly valves as these tend to come loose and can fall in the cylinder marring the bore. One last thing would be inspecting your exhaust manifold since the Sentra employs a forward pre-catalytic converter which in the factory version can break down causing platinum dust to be sucked backwards into the cylinder also causing damage. These small fixes will prevent many major problems later and extend the life of the car. Here is a reference to a forum specific to the Sentra that has many good tips and answers for regular maintenance happy driving and welcome to the Sentra club. https://www.b15u.com/forums/
