these should typically be done anywnere from 30k to 50k miles- look in your owner's manual and it should tell you the intervals- make sure they change the filter at the same time.

I follow the intervals stated in the owners manual. In between, I use the transmission tune-up fluid as a superior additive(from IPD)- definitely make sure they do change the filter & ask to see the old one depending on how reputable the repair shop is. I always ask to see....
