Engine oil

Let the oil drain down and check the level. If it is overfilled I would drain all the oil and put the correct amount back in. You should also check the PCV. If it is not working right it would cause the problem you have.

The oil very well could be overfilled. The capacity on this car is 6 quarts. Also try the "glove test." Remove the oil filler cap and place a rubber/latex glove over it. Start the car (make sure the glove is held by a helper or a rubber band). If the glove sucks in (don't let it suck into your engine, that will surely cause problems) or stays neutral, your PCV is in good condition. If it inflates, your crankcase pressure is high and you need to replace the PCV oil trap and associated hoses. Have you noticed any smoke coming from the dipstick?
