Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I'm driving my car over 65 it drives pretty good, but when I drop down
around 55 mph it shuts off, sometimes I can pump the gas and it will prevent
it from shutting down all the way, other times it just shuts off.

Then I have to hurry and put it in neutral and start it back up. It always starts
right back up.

When it first began, it happened maybe every fourth or fifth time driven. Now,
it happens, 4 to 6 times, every time I drive it.

I hope I explained this clearly.

Is this a common problem with this car?

This is my first time posting on this forum, any help is appreciated.

Oh! If I drive it in town at a speed lower than 55mph it shuts off, the only time it drives pretty good Is at 70mph. I say pretty good, because it may be a little sluggish, but it doesn't try to shut off.

Sounds like it may be an issue with the fuel pump. Could also be in injectors... when was the last time you used a fuel cleaner/treatment?
