How to remove and replace ac belt

if it's a V-belt it is fairly easy- there are attachment bolts on the ac compressor- loosen them and remove the belt- you may have to get other belts out of the way if the ac belt is on the "inside"- the correct way to tighten a belt is to take up the slack on the component until you can twist the belt with you fingers halfway, or 90 degrees- then tighten the component down- a good shop manual will explain all this with photos- get one if you want to start working on your car yourself-
