the cat is pluged its about 1,500 part. Will my car run without it?

yes but it gonna be loud and won't pass e-test if your in ontario, also if you replace it with a pipe to reduce the loudness, if there's an exaust leak the car might not pass safety

Yes, but you are going to have a check engine light. This is also illegal in most places... don't get caught without one if it is.

you can also gut it out,but like said in above post dont get cought doping it,cut it off a 10 lb hammer and a long screwdriver will do the trick then weild it back on.

Autozone sells universal style catalytic converters for $200. You may need to modify the system to make it work but you will not throw codes and it will be legal.

Catless exhaust system from OBX is less than $400. You will just need to install a spacer on the o2 sensor, or tie the o2 sensor to the underside of the car to get rid of the check engine light.

do you have to do a smog test where you live? if not gut it and put it back in. it will throw a code but rear o2 sensors dont do jack except tell you that your cat is bad.
