2000 Volvo S70 GLT SE response issues

My volvo can drive just fine if I am in town and going a short distance. If it is
running for more than 25 minutes it starts idle extremely rough. Once this
has happened, I get little, to no, response from my accelerator. I can pump
the gas while driving and here no response, I can also only go 30 MPH max
when it is acting up. If I let the car sit for about an hour after it starts to act
up, it will drive again. Does anybody know what this could be?

You have a great car there, I own that model myself. Sounds like a fuel pressure issue. If I had it in my shop, I would pop a fuel gauge on it to see what it reads while it acts up. No codes? I have seen a few with the sock filter on the pump stopped up. This doesn't show up until it's run a while and trash collects causing lack of fuel flow. It sits for a while and clears. That pumps tough to pull, wouldn't want to guess. www.autotechadvisor.com

Thanks for the reply Johnny, I have since hooked a computer up to it and it throws two codes. The first is P0014 which is the bank 1 exhaust camshaft timing issue I believe. The second is P0422 which is saying the catalytic converter

Wouldn't be the cam code. Could possibly be the cat restricted. To test it, have a helper accelerate in park while you hold your hand a few inches from the tail pipe to get an idea how it feels normally. Do the same and see if there is less or no flow at the same RPM. P0422 cab be a dozen different issues so don't assume it's the cat right away. If exhaust flow seems good and no rattles, I would go back to the fuel pressure test as it wouldn't necessarily set a code. www.autotechadvisor.com
