I have a volvo V40, 2000 with 75k miles. It now needs a lot of repairs (timing belt, radiator) which would cost as much as the value of the car. Should we repair?

I'd go through with the repairs. The timing belt is completely necessary, and not something I recommend putting off. With those repairs done, this car will be more reliable than any new car, and last longer for sure.
