check the clutch pressure switch, its a cheap part and can be tested by jumpering it with a paperclip or a piece of wire.

Where is the clutch pressure switch? I'm having the same problem with my ac on my Volvo xc70. It will blow cold for awhile but then just turn warm, then it will blow cold again.

the switch screws into the accumulator. Check your local autoparts store or autizine.com to see what it looks like. To test it remove the wire harness that plugs into the end of it and ut a paperclip in each of the pin holes (it is a 2 pin connector) if the ac clutch engages and holds, the switch is bad (assuming the coolant charge is not low)
