My Volvo xc70's horn is beeping by itself, any ideas how to fix the problem?

My horn is going off by itself, whether the car is off or on. Both short and long blasts,
there seems to be no pattern. My dad suggested it could mean the battery is going flat?
Any ideas?

Far be it for me to dispute your Dad, but I don't see how it could possibly be the battery. Tom is on to something I think
There are four separate switches for the horn in the steering wheel...any one of which could be shorting to make a connection at random. There are four switches so you can push any part of the large horn panel on the wheel. .....click image ....but Tom is more likely to have it....mine is a shot in the dark
Pasted from VolvoOwnersForum: Horn Wiring. "If the horns fail, note that fused +12V is supplied to the yellow wire connector on the windshield wiper wash switch, then directly to the horns. These in turn are then grounded through a blue-black wire back through the steering column to the collector ring, thence to the horn button, thence to ground at each button." end quote. This kinda leads me toward if any the switch grounds it will deploy the horn.
