3/8 ratchet set, breaker bar, floor jack if you don't have help, 3/8 extension..... You will also need to see what it takes to remove your drive shaft as well.... You may need some type of pry bar for your shifter linkage as well... Depends on what style it is... If you can't remember where your wiring harness plugs back up take a pic of it or draw you a diagram.... Just tear into it. An pay attention to everything you do... It's really alot easier than you think... If you run into some trouble I'd be willing to help you some more if you need it

A transmission jack or lift would be a big help. A couple strong backs can manhandle it out of there but if you are working alone you'll need some sort of tranny jack (they can be rented). Otherwise you'll just need typical mechanic tools, sockets and wrenches, a pry bar, something to drain fluid into. Before disassembling anything, take digital photos of the process, so you can review later how it goes back together. I would highly recommend getting a repair manual as it will have a step by step procedure for removing them, youtube how to videos can also be a big help.
