Can I drive the car withour a rear drive shaft?

as tom said, you CAN, but it isn't advisable, I, personally, would only turn to that route to get it home, or to a mechanic if no other option was available. you risk damaging your transmission, not to mention the electrical components. I, personally, have removed a driveshaft completely, just to get a friend's truck home before, when he snapped one of his U-joints.

Removing the rear drive shaft doesn't hurt the transmission at all just converts it into a front wheel drive. Electrical sensors aren't sending any information to the transfer case so like I said doesn't matter.
