2000 Buick Park Avenue ultra transmission problems

Asked by James Sep 22, 2019 at 04:53 PM about the 2000 Buick Park Avenue Ultra FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving at 45 mph,  when the car
started slowing down and the
Tachometer went up. Now it seems like it
is stuck in neutral and won't move. There
were no signs of trans trouble before this.
Help.

Check the fluid level first. If it's full, probably needs some internal work. It is 19 years old....

Could be catalytic converter or maybe the control mod. Maybe the control mod that tells the trans to shift gears inside the trans. Best to do a diagnostic first
