2007 Mustang gt 4.6 liter v8.

Asked by Philip Aug 08, 2019 at 02:10 PM about the 2007 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently had a v1 vortech supercharger installed on my mustang and had
the cats replaced with custom pipes. The tuner came to the shop to  tune it.
They said all was well but on my drive home if I put my foot down on the gas
the engine shuts off. Like the computer just kills it for some reason. It starts
up fine and it will drive but if I have to really accelerate at all the engine
immediately shuts off. Its sitting at the shot now and the guy has tried
several things including changing the cam sensor. It has been there for
weeks and he admits to being stumped. He believes it to be electronic
problem. Anyone have any other ideas?

You had trouble driving home from the shop after getting it tuned? I'd go right back there and have them find out what it is.
