2007 GT Exhaust Rattling

5

Asked by Ron Oct 22, 2012 at 03:12 PM about the 2007 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

- Rattle from the exhaust at low RPM only(around 1.5-2 grand). Nothing seems to be loose, could it be coming from inside the cats maybe? Not sure.

- Also, condensation leak coming from bottom of driver side muffler. Rust spot starting to form and water is permeating through. Can anyone recommend a good high temp. sealer i can apply to it? Or the best way to rectify it otherwise w/out new mufflers?

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks

For the leak part try using aluminum tape. They use it for pipes and stuff.it forms to exactly whatever shape its going on.plus its aluminum so it can take heat.I've used it on hot water pipes and other stuff and no leaks from water.
