Taken from the mustang forum: Its located on the driver's side in front of the fuel tank. It is hidden from view by a protective cover called a "fuel tube bundle shield". The shop manual says to do the following: 1. Release the fuel system pressure. This is done by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine and running it until it stalls. 2. Disconnect the battery. 3. Place the car on a hoist. 4. Remove the two fuel tube bundle shield retaining bolts. 5. Remove the two fuel tube bundle shield retaining nuts. 6. Remove thefuel tube bundle shield pushpin retainer clip and position the shield aside. 7. Disconnect the fuel filter quick-disconnect couplings and replace the filter. Caution! Be sure that the fuel lines are completely seated and that the quick-disconnect couplings are locked correctly in place. 8. Put everything back in reverse order and test for leaks (fuel pump fuse back in, battery hooked up and start car). I would check for leaks before I put the shield back on.
