issue with new car

Asked by Aurion_600 Jan 27, 2017 at 12:44 PM about the 2007 Nissan Versa S Hatchback

Question type: General

I brought a car from Independence auto in Bordentown NJ 08505; I located them on your website (Car Gurus). I am having the worse experience I ever had buying a car.  Car history is saying the car is on the recall list. The sale person (Adam) was very helpful right until he got my money. I haven’t been able to use the car because of the paper work, so the car has been sitting on my block since the day I brought it home. I have call Adam repeatedly to resolve my issues, but every time I speak to him he gives me stern comments, such as "I will call you whenever I get your title. “It now nine days after buying the car and I am feeling hopeless, I’m thinking I may not ever have a car, and after giving him my last bit of saving. What can I do about this situation?

You can't drive the car because of paperwork? Recall problems will be fixed by Nissan so take it to a Nissan dealer for those repairs. You don't need the title to drive your car, just proof that you paid for it. The DMV takes weeks or even months to issue a new title.

If the dealer issued you temporary tags you are good to go.
