Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a new battery. Passenger window cannot be operated from driver's side,
but works at passenger side.  Front windows do not go up or down
automatically, only when HOLDING the button.  Also, with unlock feature on
key fob (holding button at second push) the front windows do not go down,
only the sunroof opens.   How can this be fixed?

Are your windows not working? Has your battery been disconnected recently? This is actually a feature of the newer Mazdas! Its part of the Anti-Pinch feature. Heres some of the symptoms: Drivers door not controlling another door Auto up/down not working for any nausea diarrhea HERE'S HOW TO FIX: Go to each window and roll the window down a bit. Roll it back up and hold the switch until you hear it 'CLICK' Move to the next window and repeat.

If you have a travel limit problem, Pull the motor(3 bolts). Play with the motor using the control panel as if it was still attached to the window. Limits on my mine went away after 3 attempts up and down. Once I got it to go the full distance each way (meaning the motor stop as if it was all of the way down or up). I had mine all the way down when I reinstalled it. You can do it all of the way up. Once reinstalled check it again make sure no limits again. Reattach the inside door panel and sheck it again. reprogram you auto 1 touch up and down for both doors on each door and you are completely done.
