2007 dodge calibur throttle to floor only goes 10 mile a hour?

Asked by eh0872 Jul 28, 2018 at 11:34 AM about the 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was wondering if you thought it was throttle body or sensors. My girlfriend said it has been getting worse for a while and now when she drives and has gas pedal to floor it will only go 10 mph , while sitting still it idles roughly . I looked at individual coils on plugs and disconnected one at a time two of them made no difference and other two allowed it to idle smoothly which tells me two of them are bad as well but I don't think the coils would affect throttle response or am I incorrect?
thanks for any advice

I think you need to change the 2coils and plugs, probably wouldn't hurt to change all of them. Yes, this can cause car to run terrible. Process of elimination.

A catalytic converter that is getting clogged can cause your problem.
