WHAT IS THE NORMAL POSITION FOR THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE. THE NEEDLE FOR MY FORD EDGE 2007 SEL 2WD STAYS IN THE MIDDLE SHORTLY AFTER I START THE CAR.
When I start my car in the morning or anytime when the engine is off for long
hours, the temperature gauge is at Cold (C). after i start driving for about a 2
to 4 minutes, the temperature gauge rises to the middle of C and H ends. I
am concerned at the weather conditions here in Saudi Arabia during summers
are very harsh. Please advise.

Thank you dear for your kind and prompt response. Your answer helped me to calm my concern. Is it something to be freaked out about or is it normal for the gauge as in the picture? Sorry to carry on the conversation but I dont want to end up in the middle of the road with a busted car while the temperature outside is 131*F.
For extreme hot temperatures it certainly wouldn’t hurt to add some pure antifreeze to the cooling system! Just be sure to use the proper colour antifreeze recommended for your vehicle! Don’t mix different colours... Of course you may have to remove some of the old stuff from the system to do so, then squeeze the big hoses rapidly with the rad cap or reserve bottle cover off to allow any air bubbles to escape.
Where is the temperature guage located on the dash of my 2017 Ford Edge Titanium?
