Trying to replace thermostat

No special tools required. To remove the radiator hose you'll need a pair of pliers or screwdriver (depending on what type of hose clamp it is), then to remove the thermostat housing you'll need either a wrench or socket, the housing is held in place with two hex-head bolts. I forget the size but it's nothing special. To reinstall torque them to about 18-20 ft/lbs.

I saw a video where a guy said he used a special curved wrench that was made for a Volkswagen to get into one of the bolts.
