I have been driving German engineered cars my whole life and recently purchased a 2007 c230 sport and I love it. 112k on the clock and she drives and runs very smooth. She’s a 6 speed and the clutch and gears shift smooth unlike any other German auto I’ve owned or still drive. Very fun car!! If given the opportunity I would highly recommend buying one. I’m a little bummed on the engine space but stock the performance is great!

When you hear the noise while starting it is a chain! Change it as soon as possible, that is the major problem with this car.

I have drive a 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport with 304k miles. It’s unbelieveable how amazing the engine still runs and sounds (it’ll last you). I’ve mainly run into issues with my catalytic converter (2 times in 1 year) and currently my ABS sensor and ESP modules. I’ve also had a problem with my fuel pump. But the car still purrs and runs smoothly. Fixes are costly, but it’ll last you decades.

The modules under the front seat that control the actuators and store the memory positions fail with age and very cold temperatures. I've had both fail where they will draw 1A all the time. Either replace those modules or disconnect them if they start doing that. I replace the driver's side, but just disconnected the passenger's side. I had the RF part of the key fail. Had to get a new key.

I have a 2005 mecedes c230 Kompressor. engine light came on and stayed on it was running rough. When I pressed the accelerator down a little it got louder and ran rougher. scanned the car and came up with PO302 and PO128. There is a knocking sound on the drivers side. It does not happen all the time and is located towards the bottom
