Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Everytime i turn the steering
wheel to make a right or left
hand turns, it seems to loose
power and has resistance.
What can be the cause of this.

well, when you have a 4 WD and it's resisting turns, it's going to because it's in 4 W D. Either you don't know it or didn't the know the mechanism would affect the turning radius. When I lock in my hubs on my pick up, it happens every time. The mechanism is only doing it's job

Ok that makes a lot of sense because iv had an on going problem with the 4wd buttons. Its constantly switching back and forth from 2wd to 4wd on its own constantly. All i can do is press the 4wd back to 2wd. Its not actually going into 4wd when it does this its just flickering back and forth. I guess it may have actually went into 4wd when i was reversing out of a parking space.
