Why don't they do a recall on the sun visors
Asked by Veterandogs Oct 09, 2019 at 08:30 PM about the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3L SE AWD
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
after researching it there is thousands and thousands
people complaining about the sun visors and them
breaking and the dealer wanting almost $500 labor and
material to replace them they should do a recall this is
ridiculous they were extremely poorly made both of mine

Recalls are for safety issues like brakes. If your visor failed on a 13 year old car you really do not have that much to complain about.
See if you can source parts on eBay or a salvage yard to save money, but they might be in the same condition yours are in. I hope you know that older Hyundai's aren't known for quality parts and longevity.

It would be one thing if it lasted all these years but this is about the fifth one
Again. Why do people buy these POS Korean cars?
yep, replaced mine twice now (sante fe 2008). the design of them is crap. i'm going to use a wall anchor and shove it down the tube. at least it will have a metal shoulder instead of the tiny plastic should that is supposed to hold the weight...bollocks to Hyundai
My visor broke so i took it down and I'm not going to replace it but now the light stays on and it a violation driving at night with the light on. So now i disconnected the light and now my chime wont go off. What do i do?
