The red brake light on the dash is on Why?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I just replaced the rear calipers and pads, the front rotors and pads, also bled the old fluid and replaced with fresh. I have no air bubbles in the lines as they were eliminated while bleeding the brakes. In fact have bled the brakes twice now to make sure there are no bubbles. I very seldom use the emergency brake in fact have only used it once in its lifetime. I bought the car new.

When bleeding the brakes you must have pushed the brake pedal down too far, which would set off the brake sensor. This warns you that there is a problem with the brakes but we know that there is not. This just has to be reset. I'm not sure if it is still the same but worth a try. Just tap the brakes twice firmly and quickly. Doing this use to reset that light, sensor.
The emergency light turned on itself and impossible to turn off why?
Look on the drivers floor, and look for a piece of broken plastic. If so, the button on the brake sensor broke off the pedal. This piece presses the button to turn the lights off.
