Ingine over heating

My Toyota pickup model 2006have overheating
when I drive on high way in speed 120km/h for ten
km the cooling indicator suddenly  raised and
reach red sign.

so is it really hot..doing fast down highway .removes the fan from the proble as air is running thru the rad fins.... check/change the temp. sending unit and check/replace thermostate..
