battery light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2006 Toyota Rav4 with over 200,000
miles. The battery light came on along with the
VSC check engine light right before my car
stopped. I had the alternator checked, says good
replaced the battery. Lights went off for about a
week, now the battery light is back on and wont go
off. Am I missing something that could keep the
battery from charging??

You may have a short and its draining your battery, try this simple test/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wLrTjeb9TY
Solved, I brought my 2006 RAV4 to the auto electric shop, it turns out that the plug that clips onto the alternator, it was not making a good connection, because one of the wires had come loose inside of the plug. By accident he pushed it back in with the current tester and the battery light on the dashboard went off after being on for a year. This must be a defective part considering that so many people have had issues with it.
Sorry. I posted the wrong picture, here's the right one.
