Not the problm that's not the problem and I when I when I put gas through the carburetor it starts right up and then it dies like in five or six seconds and it seems like there is no gas going from the gas tank to the motor

Did you test the spider fuel regulator and injector system on this? These are very common issues on these chevy/gmc engines.

Pull up a YouTube video about this. There are many on this topic. Type in chevy 4.3 spider fuel regulator fuel injector. Too many videos to choose from. :)

So I have been dragging my jimmy along for a few years now. What i have noticed is, the ignition switch harness goes bad. This seems to put strain on the fuse box under the hood. I experienced electrical issues with starter, fuel pump and dash. Changed the wire harness out about ever year. After changing out the fuse box under the hood and ignition switch harness, all ignition symptoms went away. Good luck.
