2001 GMC Savana 1500 Explorer upfitter - should I sell

Asked by BreeR Feb 18, 2018 at 01:06 PM about the 2001 GMC Savana 1500 Passenger Van

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 GMC Savana 1500
Explorer Conversion Van. It needs a
front passenger side wheel bearing,
ignition harness, distrubutor/rotor,
brakes and rotors. I bought it after
hearing these vans will run into the
500k range and have a long lifespan.
Now, im concerned about these issues
and wonder if I should sell while I can?
Are these vans worth putting work into?

I have an 01 Express LT (5.7 liter) as well as a 03 Express work van (4.8 liter 2500). I am pleased with both and will keep the LT for another ten years. I don't know if you perform your own maintenance and repairs, but your 01 Savana will last a long time. They are real work horses and generally very reliable. My vote would be to keep it and keep it maintained. Best of Luck
