Are you referring to the large black piece? That's the upper half of the intake manifold.

If you're talking about the smaller black piece with the hose on it... let me look it up.

I'm sorry I'm not as helpful as I would like as I'm having trouble identifying exactly what that that's for. It appears to be a vacuum line port. What exactly is wrong there?

It looks like a purge line to me. If there's damage to the line, it can be pulled straight up off the port. These will be sturdy lines because they are under constant vacuum and would otherwise collapse. These are sold as a unit.

The part that connect is cracked and I think is sucking air. A mechanic put a temporary fix on, a zip tie, but now I'm getting codes for misfires and the MAP sensor. I was wonder if the excess air could have trigger them. So I want to replace that part before changing anything else. Thank you for researching, I appreciate your time!

I tried to remove the hose and the peice that you put the hose on broke off, ahhhhhh! Do I need to buy a new manifold now or is there some way to fix that?

Looks like a manifold vacuum line. If the elbow is broken off, you should still be able to pull it out. Be careful you do not let any part of it drop into the manifold.
