Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 07 v6 4.0 xlt ford explorer.. List what
options do i have on engine swap or. My
preference would be to swap out the (4.0 v6)
for a (4.6 v8).. What would i have to do .. Or
encounter

Check and see which V8 was offered in the same year and you can use that engine. Also check if the PCM in the 4.0 is the same as the V8. It will have to be reprogrammed and you will have to take along all the sensors to the new engine.
