I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer, 4x4, 4.3 vortec. We have changed the coil pack, fuel filter, distributor cap and button, the crank shaft sensor, cam sensor and plug wires as well as the ignition control module. We coming to a stop sign it will stall and sometimes when just sitting still. Sometimes it will start right back up and other times it takes several tries. I also have the oxygen sensor on order and it should be here tomorrow. Fuel pressure tested perfectly. No black smoke, no smell of rotten eggs or the cat glowing red. The only code that comes up is PO420. 4 Answers

1996 Chevy Blazer LS 4 door 4.3L vortec engine we were driving down the road and it was working good. Then I hear something pop in the front end. Right after that it got real rough skipping till we stoped at a light and it shut off. It will turnover but will not crank. We have changed the fuel pump sensor. I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer which until 4+ years ago - due to a move - I had to put it in the hands of an excuse for a mechanic for "routine" care...only to find he was not doing ANY of the work on her for which I was paying. Needless to say, she now requires a complete overhaul - I want her to look like she did in 1996 - and to tum like she did then (and did until this joker got hsi hands on her!!) - How much do your think a complete overhaul would cost and who in CT can I call??? 3 Answers

I've replaced the distributor, (cap and button too), the ignition lock cylinder, the spark plugs and wires, and a blown fuse since it started acting up, but it's still dying! 4.3L, 6 cylinder
