Why would a 1996 riviera supercharged begin to run hot

1996 Buick riviera is running warmer than normal, at time over 220...then it
comes down with or without ac on, as I shut it off, it goes back up, when
started?

Check your coolant level and if it's good, it might need flushed or thermostat could be starting to go bad.

Also check the cooling fans, and, if your water hoses are collapsing, preventing proper water flow.
