I am curious to know what type of vehicle we are discussing as all makes and models have different querks about them. Example: A 2001 gmc sonoma 4wheel drive 4.3 liter. Just as an example but all 4.3 liters that year in chevrolets were proned to this issue squeel from under hood in engine compartment usually just in cold start up . Dry or gummed up bushings in distributor. So what is the year make and model of the vehicle

I would be curious to know if you figured out what this was. I have the exact year and model and this whining has become worse and now the cruise control turns off randomly and becomes unavailable when driving. A non-Jaguar mechanic said it was the transmission fluid pump. I would appreciate hearing what you found out. Thanks!
