My 1996 Chevy Corsica has a loud whining sound and delayed shifting What can I do to fix it.

Asked by Nikki Nov 17, 2015 at 01:11 PM about the 1996 Chevrolet Corsica Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok. So about 2 months ago, my mom
helped me purchase a 1996 Chevy
Corsica. It has low miles, 93k. About
two days ago, the transmission
started whining and will not shift right
away. It's an automatic. My fiance
suspects it may be the ECM. We
checked the transmission fluid and
that was fine. I'm hoping the
transmission is not on its way out.
Other than that, the car runs and
drives great and is awesome on gas.
Any suggestions as to what it might
be?

Try adding some Lucas Transmission Stop Slip. Remove a quart first if not low all ready.
