Why doesn't my 2006 GMC sierra shift into 4 wheel low

could be different things. could be the button is it lighting up? could be the and what seems to be the most popular is the 4WD Transfer Case Position Sensor might have failed. it look kind of like this make sure the wires are in good shape going to it.
