Don't have an answer cause I'm trying to find out the same thing for a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0. Where is the IAC?
If it has a throttle cable (drive by cable), yes it has an idle air control valve. If there is a cable on the passenger side of the throttle body, the top connector on the driver side goes to the idle air control. If it doesn't have a cable (drive by wire) the throttle blade is actuated by an electric motor controlled be the computer and no external idle air control is needed.

hi my 2004 tahoe is drive by wire ..low idle was causing misfire ...u can raise idle by taking tps cover off and adjusting set screw that gear sets on..its very touchy ..it opens up butterfly to let in more air ...and u get more fuel...if u adjust to far it will let u know ..it will code and go to limp mode...i got my idle from 500 up to 700...got rid of random misfire
